Director of Business Development
I first became a Big to Little Sister, Tina, in Indiana in 1995. This powerful experience and my continuing strong belief in the mission led me to join the team at BBBSU 20 years later, where I have served as President & CEO since January 2015.
I earned a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Georgia, an MPA in Nonprofit Management and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, both from Indiana University. Immediately prior to joining BBBSU, I spent 12 years at the University of Utah, first as an Assistant Professor in the Master of Public Administration Program and later as the Engaged Faculty Director at the Lowell Bennion Community Service Center. My research has appeared in several journals including Nonprofit Management & Leadership, the Journal of Nonprofit Management, the Journal of Community Engagement and Higher Education.
Me and my husband, Mike, were a Big Couple to Little Brother Porter until I graduated in 2020. Currently, I serve as Co-Leader of the BBBSU Girl Scout Troop. I also serve the BBBS network and the Utah community in several roles including: Commissioner on the Utah Commission on Service and Volunteerism (and chair of the Community Engagement committee), co-chair of the committee on Evaluation, Outputs and Outcomes, co-chair of the Education Subcommittee for the Advocacy Council of the Big Brothers Big Sisters Nationwide Leadership Council and am currently a member of the Steering Committee for the BBBS Large Agency Alliance.

I have been a Big Sister at BBBSU in all three programs, starting as a Site Based Big, then rolling over to Community-Based with my first Little Sister, Tiana, and then most recently as a mentor in the Mentor2.0 Program, from which my mentee, Sa, graduated in 2017. I have worked with BBBSU for 23 years and am currently the Chief Operating Officer, managing the mentoring programs. My work at BBBSU has spanned many different areas and programs, administration, finance and managing the Donation Center BBBSU’s social enterprise. I am passionate about helping children find and build resilience.
I graduated from the University of Utah with a master’s in public administration (emphasis in nonprofit management) and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a minor in Sociology. I live in West Bountiful, Utah, with my husband and twin teenage daughters. In my spare time, I love to travel and be outside, specifically hiking, gardening or just enjoying nature.

I have worked at BBBSU since February 2021. My background includes work in accounting, office management, HR and more in the automotive and nutraceutical testing industries. During Covid, I decided to shift my career to non-profit work so I could have a greater impact in my community and a more purpose-driven career. I have seen first-hand the difference a mentor makes in the life of a child who needs guidance and support in their journey to adulthood. I am lucky to work with the most amazing, selfless and kind-hearted people around. In my spare time, I love to travel, go to concerts, enjoy nature, play Nintendo with friends and have fun with my family. I also have a big heart for animals and am constantly stopping to make friends with them, give them cuddles or say hello.

I know having a mentor can introduce new and exciting experiences while possibly changing the course of one’s life. Outside of work, Lehua enjoys musical theatre, pottery and an occasional night of line-dancing.

Hi! I am a site-based program coordinator. I have worked for BBBSU for almost a year, and I volunteer as a mentor through Mentor2.0 as well. Big Brothers Big Sisters first came to my attention when I was teaching fifth grade in Alabama. When the opportunity to work with BBBSU arose in Utah, I was very eager to be a part of it because I had seen how much of a difference a volunteer's consistency in a child's life makes. Now I get to help inspire that impact firsthand! In my free time, I love to travel, read, ski and photograph events!

I joined BBBSU in March of 2024 as a site-based Program Coordinator, where I am dedicated to supporting and enhancing our site-based mentoring programs. Before joining BBBSU, I worked as a K-12 ESL Teacher for three years in Pittsburgh, PA, developing a deep understanding of the diverse needs of students and honing my skills in creating inclusive and supportive learning environments. I now hold an active teaching certification in Utah as well. I decided to work for BBBSU because I am passionate about working with youth in the community in a meaningful way and wanted to contribute to a nonprofit organization. The work we do connects people to vital community resources and creates lifelong relationships through mentorships that help youth succeed.
Outside of work, I love to read, hike, camp, picnic and just be outside. Whether it is exploring a new trail or enjoying a good book in the sun, being in nature is my favorite way to recharge and find inspiration.

Camille Jenkins
Community-Based Program Manager
I am the Community Based Program Manager and started working at BBBSU in October of 2019. I have a bachelor’s degree in social work from Utah State University (go Aggies!) and have worked in human services for the past 20 years. I wanted to work with BBBSU because I believe in the power of mentors. I was lucky to have several mentors growing up who helped me when I was younger and showed me how important volunteerism and mentorship is, and wanted to be part of an organization that shares that same passion.
I was born and raised in Utah as the oldest of six siblings. I am a stepmom to three amazing kids and an aunt to 15. In my free time I love crafting, spending time with my family and friends, playing board games, watching movies or hosting get togethers.
I love working at BBBSU and am passionate about the mission and vision of our organization. My favorite part of the job is the people I work with as well as hearing from our matches and seeing the positive impact that mentoring has had in their lives.
Rachal Milford
Big Futures Coordinator
Rachal Milford
Big Futures Coordinator
I have been with BBBSU for seven years. I began as a Mentoring Specialist and last year added Big Futures Coordinator to my responsibilities. I worked in corporate America for several years before working for BBBSU. I volunteered as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) for 10 years and served as the president of the Board of Trustees for a charter school where I utilized my business background to help improve education. Child advocacy has always called to me with a foundational belief that additional caring adults in children's lives benefits all of us. My favorite part about the work we do is seeing the unintended outcomes when a volunteer says, "I volunteered hoping to change a child's life for the better. I did not expect how much it would change mine for the better." I am a proud mother of three and we are an active, sporty family who love to snow ski, waterski and enjoy the great outdoors. I have a black belt in karate and am a marathoner.

I have seen countless lives change because of this program and know children can better reach their potential with a positive adult on their side. Shout out to all the Bigs and the Littles and their families whom I have met since I started working with BBBSU in 2023. My time as an Enroller and Match Specialist has been a fabulous and inspiring experience. I have met some of the most fabulous humans!
After working with students in state care in the Granite School District, I was drawn to BBBSU because of its mission to “create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.” I believe kiddos need an adult in their life who cares, who is a consistent friend and who is their personal cheerleader. With that kind of support, they can do great things. In the past I was lucky enough to work for the TRiO programs at SUU, Utah Tech and SLCC as an advisor and coordinator. During that time, I mentored youth with risk factors on accessing financial aid and higher education. Another part of my life was spent working with Residential Life at BYU as a Hall Advisor, overseeing and mentoring college freshmen. As for me, I love the color green, plants that do not die in my care, learning about science, creating art and spending time with my cute family and darling friends.

I also believe that refugee youth deserve positive mentoring relationships after resettlement and during this integral time in their lives. My work is driven by my passion for helping others. Ever since I can remember, I have always found joy in helping others. Growing up I would often help my mother translate during my doctor's appointments or anywhere I had to go as she did not speak English. This experience made me realize the amount I could contribute to others with simply being bilingual in Spanish and in English. The work here at BBBSU is so important because every child deserves a mentor in their life. By being there for a child and being a great role model. A child can most definitely reach their best potential in life.
I was born and raised in Oakland, California, and hold a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and a minor in American cultural studies from Sonoma State University. I married the love of my life in 2022. I have two fur babies named Deebo and Doja. My favorite thing to do is hang out with my little family in my free time.
