The School-Based Program is great for volunteers who need a flexible program.  The agency has partnered with local schools to offer School-Based volunteering.  Volunteers need to commit for only the school year, and meet with their Little Brother or Sister once a week for 1 hour.  Volunteers have fun eating lunch with their Little, going to the school library, playing on the play ground or doing arts and crafts.   This  program is also a wonderful opportunity for to encourage those in your office, service group or company to volunteer. If your group would like to volunteer together, please contact Kristine and she will be able to meet with your group to orient, train and interview everyone at one scheduled time.

	Enrollment Process

1. Contact Us: Fill out our online school based application or call 801.313.0303 and we'll answer your questions, tell you about our school based program, and get you started.  
2. Background Check: We will complete a national background check through our agency.  The cost is $10.00 (cash, credit, or check written to "BBBSU").   We require a national criminal history report for each volunteer age 18 and over.
   
3. Copy of Driver License: Bring your Driver License with you to your interview and we will copy it.
4. Two References: We will contact the two people you list to obtain references.
5. Interview: The interview will be at our office, or at your business if there will be multiple enrollment from your company, office or service group.
6. Matching Process: Once you have completed the enrollment process, your file will be reviewed.  We will notify you if you have been accepted into our program, or referred to another agency.   If you have been accepted, we will then contact you to tell you about a potential Little.  You are under no obligation to accept the child the agency proposes to you.  If you accept, we will contact the school and schedule a time for you to meet your new Little Brother or Sister.  You will then be officially matched, and can begin to meet every week.
