2008 Bowl For Kids' Sake Birthday Bowl

 

The 2008 Bowl For Kids' Sake Birthday Bowl, BBBSU’s largest fundraising event, will involve almost 1,000 volunteers raising well over $100,000. Community and company volunteers will puttogether teams of five bowlers raising a collective $500 to support BBBSU mentoring programs. On the day of the event, participating bowlers receive two free games, shoe rental, pizza, drinks, t-shirts and team photos. BBBSU will award prizes to the individuals raising the most funds and will offer opportunity-drawing prizes including restaurant certificates, overnight stays, spa treatments and more.

Chef & A Child 30th Anniversary Birthday Gala

 

In partnership with the Beehive Chef's Association, BBBSU presents its first annual Chef & A Child Gala in honor of the agency's 30th Anniversary on Thursday, May 15, 2008 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Marriott Salt Lake City Downtown (75 South West Temple, Salt Lake City). This night of excellence will feature gourmet creations from 21 of Utah's best chefs, a California wine pairing and exciting silent and live auctions offering remarkable memorabilia and culinary, travel and entertainment packages. Do not miss the most elegant food event of the year! Tickets are $100 each and reserved tables for ten are $1,000.

30th Anniversary Awards Luncheon

 

BBBSU will host its first annual Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 from 11:30-1:30 p.m. at the Little America Hotel (500 South Main Street, Salt Lake City). The Awards Luncheon will pay tribute to the contributions of thousands of mentors, community stakeholders, board members and other visionaries who believed in the dream of helping Utah's youth reach their potential with the help of caring mentors.
